The design question for the water plaza is not only “watch the fountain” but “stay a while and meet the people around you” — so the spatial language is organised around lingering and meeting

01Maze Fountain water feature

The fountain forms a lively enclosed or semi-enclosed water space and can transmit light; floor pressure sensors then work with people-to-people interaction, prompting reflection on human connection through light that comes and goes.
